Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

by

This recipe is for anyone who makes cookies just so you can eat the cookie dough.

Ingredients

This cookie dough requires just one bowl and seven simple ingredients:

Vegan Buttery Spread (we always use this kind)

Brown Sugar (here’s an organic option!)

Vanilla Extract

Nondairy Milk

All Purpose Flour (measured correctly)

Salt

Mini Chocolate Chips (these are vegan!)

How to enjoy this cookie dough

If you don’t want to eat this solely with a spoon (we don’t judge though), you can make cookie dough truffles, cookie dough bars (recipe HERE), or a cookie dough topped (and filled) cake.

The options are limitless, so get creative!

we haven’t tried using gluten-free flour (but we’ve heard from some people that it works) — you may need to tweak the amounts a little bit, but it should work fine! let us know if you try it 🙂

Love you girls! Great recipe, but this worries me a bit. I see you put a little asterisk telling folks to toast the flour if they are concerned. This should be required, my fellow raw-dough lovers! The reason why we steer clear of raw cookie dough isn’t actually just because of the potential harm from raw egg. Eating flour that hasn’t been processed or cooked is very unsafe! Toast away to kill any potential bacteria! Raw flour is a breeding ground for e coli.

i love making cookies, so this was the easiest cookie dough recipe ever. you can leave it in the fridge to firm up a little if you wanna decorate with it or something. it’s the perfect texture. i’ve made it a couple times with different vegan butters. the “I can’t believe its not butter” vegan one makes this veryyyyy soft. the “Earth Balance” is perfect

I used almond flour instead of regular and it was really good! It has a very slight bitter taste that I don’t mind — but if you don’t like that just use a smidge less flour. 🙂

Hi!! Could you freeze this in bite size pieces? Im thinking of adding some to our next batch of ice cream, but I wouldn’t go through it all! But course use it for toppings as well 🤩

I made this and loved it! I used country crock plant butter, which has salt. It’s a bit salty so I would recommend either using non salted butter or adding salt as needed after you taste.
