Protein Packed Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

We love switching up our breakfast or lunch for a smoothie or protein shake because it gives us the fuel to conquer the day without weighing us down. This smoothie is very filling and absolutely delicious- you'll think you're eating dessert! So, go ahead, give it a try!
Servings: 1 smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana chopped then frozen
  • 2 tbsp. flax seeds
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp. protein powder sub 1-2 tbsp. regular peanut butter if you don’t have this on-hand
  • 1 serving of chocolate protein powder
  • Ice optional - the more you add, the thicker the result
For topping (optional)
  • Raw cacao nibs
  • Granola/cereal
  • Seeds pepita or sunflower
  • Coconut flakes

Method
 

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
  2. You can serve this up however you'd like! The way shown is layered with organic cereal and topped with raw cacao nibs and a bit more cereal. It would also be delish with more toppings or even served in a deep bowl!
