Queso Blanco

This is a super simple and delicious app! Just a warning, it has a little kick to it.
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup rice milk plain, unsweetened (we highly recommend this milk for its neutral flavor but can try subbing other plain, unsweetened milks)
  • 1 block jalapeƱo havarti daiya cheese (about 2 cups) shredded (can sub this for any cheese but will alter taste a bit)
  • 2 cups vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 1 4 oz. can fire roasted diced green chilis
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Add rice milk to a medium size sauce pan and bring to a light boil.
  2. Turn heat down to medium & stir in the cheese (continue stirring until cheese melts).
  3. Once cheese is melted, add all of the spices & can of chilis.
  4. Mix together & cook for ~5 minutes (stirring occasionally).
  5. Serve with tortilla chips, pretzels or your favorite cracker! Enjoy! (the dip will continue to thicken as it sits and cools)
