Tomato sauce

Crushed tomatoes

vegetable broth

& Chick’n or crumbles (this brand is our favorite)

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups vegan chick'n strips (chopped) or beefless crumbles
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 15 oz can plain tomato sauce
  • 1 15 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups vegetable broth (more if you want it thicker) or plain, unsweetened rice milk for a creamier sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • vegan cheese shreds for topping
  • fresh basil for topping

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil on medium heat in a large skillet. Add onion, garlic & chick'n or beefless crumbles. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in spices & cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, veggie broth (could also use plain, unsweetened rice milk for a creamier sauce) and bring to a boil. Bring down to low heat, scrape the bottom of the pan and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add salt & pepper and cook for another minute.
  • Top with vegan cheese shreds/parmesan & fresh basil (optional) and serve over your favorite pasta noodles. Add more salt and pepper to taste.

Nice recipes you’ve got, but I was wondering; you specify no amounts in the ingredient list or maybe i can’t view them on mobile? Also, you write veggies and spices without specifying anything. Thats a bit silly in a recipe 🙂
    Cheers from Denmark.
